Don’t forget, tonight Blackheath Halls is holding a Hustings event from 7.30 – 9.30 pm.
It’s free entry, and the following prospective candidates will be there:
David Gold – Conservative, Eltham
Pete Pattisson – Liberal Democrat, Lewisham East
Nick Raynsford – Labour, Greenwich and Woolwich
Independent commentators:
Malcolm Levitt – economist
John Palmer – political journalist
In the chair – Sir Ian Mills

It is absurd and undemocratic that the Greens have not been invited to this.
In last year’s Euro elections, Greens beat Lib Dems in Greenwich and Lewisham, and Tories in Lewisham, so the argument that they are not a party in real contention does not hold here.
Perhaps the local green candidate should attend anyway? The fact that all the speakers are from different constituencies is going to make for a pretty strange evening regardless…
I can’t see the point of this event at all. I want to hear from MY candidates, not Eltham’s…
I’m so confused – I live just down the other end of Lee Road but Nick Raynsford’s not my candidate any more, Clive from Eltham is. I can’t make it either way, but the change of boundary has seriously baffled me (moved here less than a year ago and v. confused).
