A new tipple for Blackheath

Meantime Indian Pale Ale in a glass in the Princess of Wales
I’m not sure how long it has been there, but the Princess of Wales pub has started selling a very nice Pale Ale called Meantime… It tastes lovely, and is brewed in Greenwich (the logo is full of clockwork and compasses, flying around as bubbles). It doesn’t stop the PoW being a seething hell hole at the weekends, but still makes for a very nice pint whilst watching the sun go down next to the heath.

  1. It’s lovely stuff. I believe you can buy it in bottles locally from Hand Made Foods. The Meantime Brewery also runs the Greenwich Union pub in Royal Hill, SE10, where you can taste all of their beers.

  2. Blackheath Ann

I keep meaning to try it! It is sold in HM Foods and I’ve also seen it in the little gift shop at the planetarium, amongst the space-age geeky little knick-knacks like dried astronaut food. There is a stout as well as the pale ale.
