In the first shot that main strike looks like it’s hit the Tea Hut. I didn’t go over to check but I hope it’s still there and hasn’t been reduced to kindling.

I might pop up later and double-check!

Absolutely! Not by me though! I always wonder whether you have to sit out in the rain hoping not to get struck, or whether it’s just luck that you happen to be riding past – it must need a tripod and a certain amount of preparation first though?

If you squint, you might see me walking to the pub beneath that!

I just went and had a look – the tea hut is still present and correct (or present and violating planning regulations, depending upon who you talk to…)

Glad you like the shots :D
It was a bit scary out there with a tripod on the Heath but I kept close to a lamp post in the hope that it would get hit instead of me, not sure if that’s good science though. Luckily no rain, despite a good supply of carrier bags in readiness.
Very glad to hear that the tea hut hasn’t become a melee of burgers, wood splinters and motorists.
