Taken with the horrible camera phone as usual I’m afraid, but they should give you an idea. Sunday seemed to be the best day weather-wise, but there were fewer people than I had imagined there would be.
The Bugle was delighted to get his bike fixed up by the Bike Doctors (I think her name was Betty – thanks again!). It’s a really useful, free service, so a quick plug to Cycle Training who provided it.

I was there on Saturday. Sadly it was lacking in atmosphere – & I had hoped to see more kites. Though it seemed a little more lively when we drove past it on Sunday.
Still it was fun to watch the giant cat and the various kite stunts.
Hopefully Lewisham Council – and whoever else is involved – stick with this festival. Give it a bit more publicity and I have no doubt it will build in popularity over the years. After all Blackheath is perfect for kites.

I hope so too – it’s a great idea, and I’m sure if they do it next year, and are lucky with the weather, they will build on this years numbers.
